Cancelling your membership

Open the account menu, choose Manage membership, and cancel from there. It takes one tap and does not require you to contact us. Your membership stays active until the end of the month you have paid for, and does not renew after that.

Your 14-day right to change your mind

Because a GoalSides membership is a service bought online, you normally have 14 days from subscribing to cancel and get a refund, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Membership starts as soon as you subscribe, so you are asking us to begin the service within the 14 days. If you cancel during that period we will refund what you paid, less a proportionate amount for the days you had access. Cancel on day 7 of a 30-day month and you get roughly three quarters of the £4.00 back.

To use this right, email [[CONTACT EMAIL]] with the subject “Cancel membership” within 14 days of subscribing. You do not have to give a reason. We will refund to your original payment method within 14 days of being told.

Renewals

The 14-day right applies when you first subscribe, not to each monthly renewal. If a renewal catches you out, tell us within [[GOODWILL WINDOW, 14 DAYS SUGGESTED]] and, provided you have not used the site since it renewed, we will refund that month. That is our own policy, above what the law requires.

If something is wrong

If a feature you are paying for does not work, tell us at [[CONTACT EMAIL]]. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital services must be as described and provided with reasonable care and skill. If we cannot put it right in a reasonable time, you are entitled to an appropriate price reduction, and we will refund rather than argue.

What we do not refund

We do not refund a month simply because it went unused, once the 14 days have passed and the goodwill window above does not apply. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not reverse previous ones.
